The Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus)
is a bird of
the desert and when it encounters an automobile while
hunting next to a road it runs away, hence the name
Roadrunner. It is a medium size bird about the
size of a Magpi and feeds on scorpions,
lizards and snakes. The Mexican
people call him Piasiano.
