Pink Camellia, the common species (Camellia, japonica)
The Camellia is native to China & Japan. It is a semitropical evergreen
tree or shrub and is related to the tea plant. There are many varieties
and colors making it a wonderful flower for corsages.
The Camellia is also the state flower of Alabama.
